What about college textbooks? I could see this being an area where college kids benefit…updates to book quicker, cheaper for the companies to produce, and interactive books, better to learn, and kids are techies, so it would benefit everyone.

I’m very interested in this as a 2nd computer in my house. My main computer is an iMac that I keep in my basement. I’ve been using my late husband’s iBook next to my chair in the room in which I watch TV – love being able to check my email, look things up, play solitaire.

The HD died on my iBook (it’s 6 years old) and I’m considered the luxury of replacing it (TWO computers in ONE house for ONE person???!!!). This could be perfect…if I can print from it. I would also take it with me when I do homework with my grandsons – again, need to be able to print out a page from Safari. I see there is a keyboard also available, but wouldn’t it be nice if I could just use the wireless keyboard that came with my iMac – they I could take this with me when I go away for a month in the summer (only time I need a laptop as I have an iPhone for short trips).

It appears that the only way to print from the iPad is via an app. That concerns me a bit…

The only flash experiences you can think of that someone could use is Google finance (and adverts)?

Hello, there’s this little site called YouTube that you should check out (of course, there are others as well like Vimeo) and, of course, all of the blogs, social networking sites, news outlets, etc. that make use of the content on those sites. Not to mention, Hulu and the sites that tv content creators are now using to push their content to the web.

All that content being served up in…. Flash.

@ozren: tablet pcs are on the market since windows xp tablet (2005? had one, loved it for being able to read PDFs in portrait but hated onscreen keyboard) and look where are they… nowhere? and what you’re going to do with that flash in the browser? I do not miss any of the adverts and I don’t use google finance, the only flash I can think of someone could use.

You must remember there are other products out there that support “full web experience”, and can do alot more then Ipad. Also tablet PC-s are just starting to take shape in industry, and i think Apples Ipad will very soon be obsolete.
