I just thought I would drop in a quick note – namely for two main reasons. Firstly, My blog's looking a little empty, and secondly, because I have moved to the the drak side and moved my laptop over to linux, namely of the Ubuntu variety.

I am happy to say, that this distribution is cracking. I've tried various distro's going back to around RedHat 5 days, and to be honest they just required a bit too much “work” to get to where I wanted them, but with the recent Dapper release of Ubuntu (6.06) they seem to have got it right.

I am now happily using my linux install every day with very few problems – so much so that I haven't booted into my Windows install for around a week.

So, if you've tried linux in the past but not got on with it, give Ubuntu a try, you never know, you might like it as much as I do.

Anyone else using linux at the moment, or is everyone else a Mac boy these days?
