What do you like, what do you not like?

Posted by Neil on July 20, 2006

Feed-Squirrel is currently undergoing a small revamp in order to give you lot (i.e the users) some more useful features. At the same time, I will be looking to improve the existing features.

However, I need to know which bits you like and which bits you don't. For instance, do you like the fact that you can read posts without leaving the site or do you prefer an MXNA style or a digest with a direct link to the source post.

Additionally, for those of you saving posts and creating categories, what would you change about it?

Let me know, and you never know, your suggestions might just make it in to the site with your name credited somewhere on the site…

New feeds

Posted by Neil on July 19, 2006

I've just finished adding a load more feeds to the squirrel's basket. Now feed-squirrel is aggregating approximately 700 feeds from the best minds in the CF, Flex, Flash and Dreamweaver worlds.

But, I don't really want to stop there. I'd like to be adding more categories for you, and more feeds to go with them. Thing is, I need YOU to tell me what you would like to see on the aggregator. If there are any feeds we're missing, or any subjects you'd like to see covered (only constraint is it has to be on the subject of web development) then let me know via the links on the feed-squirrel homepage, or via the comments on this post.

Yup, I'm back, and from what I can tell, a lot has gone on over the last couple of weeks.

Firstly, Flex 2 is out proper now, so we should start to see lots of new and interesting applications appearing out there. It will be good to see what sort of interfaces people can dream up.

Secondly, Windows 98 is gone for good. Not a bad thing by any means, but still the end of a (mini) era.

Thirdly, A new UK CFUG meeting is happening at a new location in Marlow. Details in the next post.

So, what's it like to be back? Well, to be honest, after coming back to find half my luggage had been picked up by someone else, and then to end up in a Burger King with no burgers in stock, I'm not sure. Let's see how things go…
