However, be careful when downloading the MySQL Connector J JDBC driver, make sure you don't pull down the latest version as this is incompatible with CFMX. Now, the technote does say that 3.1.11 is not compatable due to bug 13469 and won't be until it's fixed. Well, the good news is, that isn't going to get fixed at time of writing, so in the meantime stick with an older version and don't hope to upgrade any time soon.
